Summer break is over and it’s time to get the kids back in to their school-year routine!  Bed times are earlier, play time is shorter, and the television is off for school work.  How do you get your kids back in to the routine with minimum resistance and a smooth transition?  The main trick is to start early.  The day before school is not the time to wind down.  Try taking the last 2 weeks or at least the last week of summer break and make it in to your practice session!  Try some…or all, of these tips!

Childhood obesity runs more than the risk of having an over-weight child.  Along with obesity, your child runs the risk of developing diabetes, heart problems, self-esteem issues, eating disorders, and breathing problems to name a few.  There are ways to avoid childhood obesity or fight current issues you may be facing with a child who is facing obesity. Eventually, every child will ask their parents for a pet, or an additional pet.  Your child has probably already thought very hard about which kind of pet they want and what they want to name it.  Choosing the right type of pet is something that must be carefully considered before heading to your local animal shelter, pet store, or breeder.
