Care Package Ideas
Dear Readers,
I know that I am certainly not a pro wife when it comes to care packages since my hubby hasn’t even left for his first deployment yet, but I’ve been cruising some sites and have found some really great ideas on things to send our guys.
Keep in mind that many of our troops that serve overseas do not get care packages at all, so sending a little extra for your loved one(s) to share is always well received and greatly appreciated! So here goes my list:
Toiletries (all kinds from q-tips, toothpaste, deodorant, to foot powder)
Insoles- for their heavy, uncomfy boots
Pens- blue and black
Baby wipes- for when clean water is in short supply or they can’t shower
Magazines- entertainment, news, sports, naughty ones, etc.
Several decks of playing cards
Condiments- hot sauce, salt, pepper, McD’s jelly packets
Snacks- beef jerky, chips, nuts, trail mix, candy
Books and a calendar
Blankets, pillow cases, inflatable bed (beats sleeping on a slab on the ground)
Absolutely NO BAD NEWS!
All your love, devotion, and support and lots and lots of pictures and drawings from the kids!
